I’m an experienced senior HR professional having worked in HR for 25 years. My early career was in headhunting working in London, Hong Kong and Tokyo and my key client was Goldman Sachs. I then worked in HR for Harvey Nichols and as an HR Director at Soho House Group and Planet Organic Ltd. I helped to transform Planet Organic (a £35m turnover SME) through culture change and by implementing strategic HR solutions. I have a Masters in Strategic Human Resource Management and I’m a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. I also hold an Executive MBA with Distinction.
I qualified as an Executive Coach by gaining my ILM Level 7 in 2014. I implemented a coaching culture at Planet Organic Ltd and this had such a significant effect on talent development that by the time I left, 7/8 Store Managers had been developed from more junior roles and all management positions were filled internally. As an Executive Coach I now coach Founders, CEOs, senior and middle managers and high potential people helping them to achieve their goals and ambitions, both in the UK and abroad. I’m a member of the Association for Coaching, I’m a Certified NLP Practitioner, Time Line Therapist and Hypnotherapist. I’m also a qualified Systemic Coaching Practitioner. I’m qualified to deliver Hogan personality profiling.
Throughout my career I’ve always enjoyed developing my team some of whom are now HR Directors, Managers, Employment Lawyers and Founders of their own businesses. I am now working with organisations to mentor and develop high potential people in their HR and Learning teams by giving them technical knowledge, supporting them in their work and giving them confidence.
I’m from a mixed race background, I was born in Malaysia, my mother is Chinese and my father was English. I went to boarding school at a young age which was a cultural melting pot and have had the opportunity to work in Hong Kong and Tokyo and to travel widely. I created a more inclusive workplace at Planet Organic and have developed a ‘7 steps to creating a diverse culture’ model. I have had the opportunity to deliver webinars and speak on panels about diversity.
